Trains may be disrupted and ferries may be cancelled but in the midst of Storm Barbera, Scottish football rumbles on.

The weather is supposed to be horrible, and in my magical mystic ball, I cannot for the life of me see the quality of play being much better.

With only a few points separating the two teams going into tonight’s game, there’s a lot to play for. We have the opportunity to leapfrog Ross County into sixth place with a win, with the Staggies playing tomorrow.

The Saints are unbeaten in their last three games, although two of these have been draws against Aberdeen and Motherwell. Killie meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back after last week’s draw with Hamilton, where we felt hard done by not to collect all three points.

The danger man for the visitors tonight will be prolific striker Steven MacLean, who is really banging them in at the minute. However, if the Killie back line are as resolute and disciplined as we know they can be, then we will hopefully keep him quiet for 90 minutes.

With all this said, I feel confident going into tonight’s game, as long as we don’t get blown away by Barbera.

SCORE PREDICTION: Killie 1-0 St. Johnstone
