Christmas is over, so it’s time for Scottish football to take centre stage once again. Tonight, we travel to Edinburgh to take on the Jambos, in what is sure to be a hotly contested game.
Both teams are in need of points to end the yet on a high. For Hearts, they are trying to catch Aberdeen and Rangers at the top of the table, while we are looking to end the year in the top six, which I don’t think anyone could complain about.
The Jambo’s form has been unusually poor recently, with new boss Cathro still looking for a win. Killie meanwhile, have looked solid at the back in recent games, however are struggling to be clinical up front.
The danger man for Hearts tonight will be full back Callum Patterson, who has earned many plaudits this season for his attacking prowess. The back four must keep a keen eye out for him if we are going to take something from the game tonight.
Tonight’s team is going to be very young due to the injuries we currently have so that could prove to be a major factor in the outcome of the game.
Overall, I feel that if the effort and commitment is there from the players then we can take something back to Ayrshire tonight.
PREDICTION: Hearts 1-1 Killie
