Being a Killie fan doesn’t get much more dramatic than this. We’ve just lost our manager. Check. We’re at home to the team second in the league. Check. It’s on live TV. Check.

This is exactly the kind of game where we can really see what the team are made of. Will they stand up and be counted, or will they crumble under the pressure?

The Dons are coming off the back of a 7-2 trouncing of Motherwell, and so will certainly be up for this one. The last time we played Aberdeen wasn’t much better, when we went down 5-1 up at Pittodrie. If you want to relive this, for some strange reason, then the highlights are here.

The Dons can sometimes be vulnerable in defence, but are absolutely lethal in attack. The front three of Hayes, McGinn and Rooney are, in my opinion, the best forward line in Scotland, and so our defence need to hold strong and close the space quickly to limit their attacking threat.

We may have lost Lee Clark, but that doesn’t mean we have lost the quality in the side that we know we have. A win today would be a huge confidence boost that can help propel us towards the top 6.

Prediction: Killie 2-2 Aberdeen
