Well here it is, the last game of a season that we don’t want to end. If you said to a Killie fan at the beginning of the season that….

a) We would finish in fifth place

b) We would almost reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup

c) We would beat both Rangers and Celtic at home, and take plenty of points off them in Glasgow

…we would have called you crazy!

But yet, that is exactly what has happened, and we have a chance to celebrate that as we welcome the Jambos to Rugby Park for the final game of the season. We have competed well with the Edinburgh side this season for fifth and sixth place respectively. After their derby victory during the week, they will be high on confidence going in to this one. However, they have been blighted by injuries and suspensions after that game and will be forced to play their young guns.

As for ourselves, we will still be missing the attacking threat of Jordan Jones, who is in hospital recovering with ‘twisted genitals’. He has been phenomenal for us this season and has been a big miss in recent games. Hopefully he will sign another contract but it looks like we will have to fend off interest from a number of clubs.

Although the game doesn’t mean anything, it would be great to end the season with a win and make sure that the post-game celebrations are as positive as possible. It has been a transformative season for the club both on and off the park and it would be fantastic to celebrate that together after the match.

SCORE PREDICTION: Killie 2-0 Hearts
