After a less than convincing performance against St Mirren earlier in the week, it is now time for our first away day of the season. Dumbarton are our opponents for this one, and we should be looking to take maximum points back to Ayrshire.

The home side were relegated from the Championship last season after losing in the play-offs, and will be looking to have a good season in order to get back to where they think they belong. They will certainly be up for this game, so we need to be at our best.

Although we have made things slightly more difficult for ourselves in progressing from the group, it is still more than doable for the group of players that we have. Nine points from nine is all that matters, no matter what the scores are or how close the games are.

Saying that, this is a good chance to create lots of chances and get our strikers firing ahead of the season opener in a few weeks time. Both Brophy and Erwin looked slightly off the pace against the Saints and will be looking to get up to speed today.

Hopefully there will be a good Killie contingent travelling down to cheer on the boys and keep up the atmospheres that were so vital in our success last year. For the first time this season, MON THE KILLIE!!

PREDICTION: Dumbarton 1-3 Killie
